The President’s Message
Dear LACA Family
Wow!
This
year
is
quickly
ebbing
away.
As
one
frog
said
to
the
other,
“time’s
fun
when
you’re
having
flies!”
But
seriously,
so
much
is
going
on
in
our
world
that
it’s
difficult
to
keep
track
and
continue
with
our
sanity!
Crises
abound
and
I
also
think
it
goes
by
really
slow
when
a
crisis
arises
and
uncertainty
weighs
heavily
on
our
minds.
All
you
have
to
do
is
turn
on
your
radio
or
television
or
the
news
feed
on
your
smart
phone
and
you
can
certainly
feel
the
uncertainty
in
our
world.
The
recent
happenings
this
year
are
a
sad
reminder
of
the
trials
and
tribulations
that
exist
in
our
world.
But,
it
is
an
even
better
reminder
of
the
goodness
that
exists.
The
people
come
together
to
protect
and
help
those
that
are
in
need.
Strangers
helping
strangers.
Carrying
each
other.
In
the
past,
holding
hands
and
arms
around
each
other
but
now
from
a
safe
distance.
It
does
not
matter
what
side
of
politics
you
are
on
or
what
your
beliefs
are,
incredible
hearts
and
souls
of
people
come
to
the
forefront.
You,
my
friends,
are
like
those
people.
Your
hearts
and
souls
have
always
come
forward
to
help
those
in
need
through
LACA.
When
we
have
asked
you
for
help
you
have
always
come
forward
for
us
and
we
thank
you
so
much
for
this.
As
you
will
read
in
some
of
our
articles,
your
donations
are
changing
lives
for
the
better.
Without
you,
this
would
not
be
possible.
On
behalf
of
our
entire
LACA
board
we
want
you
to
know
how
much
we
appreciate
it.
Words
cannot
even
express
our
gratitude.
Your
donations
big
or
small
do
make
a
huge
difference
for
those
who
are
impoverished.
Remember
that
approximately
95%
of
your
donation
goes
directly
to
the
project
or
recipient
in
need.
That
is
incredible.
LACA
needs
you
today.
Please
consider
donating
to
any
of
the
various
causes
that
LACA
stands
for.
Your
continued
support
is
heroic
to
the
people
that
you
reach.
Your
generous
donations
save
lives,
change
lives,
encourage
the
forgotten,
and
strengthen
the
underprivileged.
I
hope
that
you
will
take
a
moment
and
help
us
at
LACA
to
reach
the
unreachable
and
spread
hope
to
those
who
have
lost
it.
As
I
have
said
before,
what
does
matter
is
that
you
are
willing
to
help
in
any
way
you
can!
Remember
that
your
generosity
will
directly
benefit
someone
who
genuinely
needs
your
support.
LACA
indeed
is
a
wonderful
foundation
where
you
can
really
make
a
difference
for
someone.
Wishes
can
come
true
through
you!
Remember
your
generous
donation
is
tax
deductible
to
the extent allowed by law.
Sincerely,
Kevin Sheil

The Founder’s Message
LACA’s mission, since the very beginning, has always been focused toward the poorest of the
poor. Initially, we began our efforts in Honduras, the most poverty-stricken country of Latin
America. Later we spread to six other countries: Haiti, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico,
Guatemala, and Panama. During my term as founder and board president, we financed 35
water systems; funded homes for the poor; educated promising, poor youngsters; and took
medical teams to the medically under served. LACA also supported an empowerment of
women program in Panama and funded a daycare center in the poor area of Ciudad Delgado
in El Salvador.
My vision is that LACA continues to focus its efforts on the poorest and less fortunate of Latin
America.
Yours,
Lillian R. Trillo, Founder and President Emerita
